NORPAC Controls Ltd. holds itself accountable to our customers, the public and our employees with a dedicated effort and structured process to evaluate the environmental impact of our business practices. As such, we are committed to a path of sustainability in making increasingly efficient use of resources to mitigate environmental impact.

Our mission statement guides us to provide our customers with the optimum application of products and services to meet their environmental standards; and to hold ourselves accountable as individuals in the workplace.

Our future depends on us and how we decide to live. By committing to the values of sustainability, the planet benefits with reduced greenhouse gas emissions, water conservancy and cleaner air.

Our Commitment to Customers

Our goal is to help our customers succeed – our success is dependent on theirs. Helping our customers by optimizing the efficiency of their processes generates a triple “green” bottom-line effect:

  • Economic improvement processes will reduce costs and optimize operations
  • Environmental processes reduce emissions, wastes and energy consumption
  • Corporate social responsibility to uphold ethical practices and standards

We are committed to meeting and exceeding all applicable environmental laws and regulations for ourselves and for our customers.

NORPAC is a BC Hydro approved Power Smart Alliance Partner. Utilizing Opportunity Mapping, substantial gains are realized through increased process productivity, thereby extending the life-cycle of the products and reducing consumption of natural gas or electricity. This results in significant cost savings to ensure long-term viability of the operation, with the added benefit of using the gains to enable the customer to further refocus on green initiatives.

In a recent Automation World magazine article entitled “Stepping Up to Green – It’s Good Business,” one of NORPAC’s customers stated “we found we could increase production by about 10 percent while still cutting the energy usage rate”. These impressive results were achieved after NORPAC conducted an energy audit, resulting in a project to implement model predictive control on the existing DeltaV control system. Further efficiencies were achieved by undertaking a check and calibration of all the instrumentation. For details on this and other Quantifiable Environmental Results (QER’s), please click here.

NORPAC Accountability

NORPAC’s Facility Manager is our “Green Champion”. The goal is a continuous improvement process to reduce our carbon footprint via waste and recycling audits. Our process involves an ongoing evaluation of our recycling practices, customer shipping practices, methods to reduce paper consumption and improve energy efficiency. The Management Team decides which initiatives to undertake as a company on behalf of our customers, employees and the community.
